The original blog post of especially is right here.
The students seem to not know anything and tend to say that its the teachers fault that they do not like learning. The students do not focus on what the secretary of education is doing or what she plans on doing.
Teachers are more aware about what is happening and said that the biggest problem in schools are that the students are not engaged and that the work ethic has gone away.
Have a day to let everyone know that there is a new secretary of education.
They could get the students more involved in politics especially since there is such a big change with trump coming in as president.
Incase you do not know what Betsy Devos looks like, this is her and you can also click on this link to figure out what she is up to right now.
Learning Styles- I am a visual learner and i have to say that I completely agree with it. Prefer to look at pictures and diagrams and highlight important parts of papers so i can easily look at that piece of information.
I would prefer if my teacher didn't talk the entire class period. I like to just get information at the beginning of class and just do what i have to do.
I enjoy looking at slideshows and writing down information.
This is an article that can explain the different types of learning styles if you have any question
Multiple Intelligence's- Two of my intelligence's that i completely agree with are Bodily/Kinesthetic.
I think that i most closely relate to this because I have an expanded awareness in my body and i like to move around and dislike standing standing.
I am also Intrapersonal because I am mindful and have a sense of myself and have the ability to think things thoroughly. More information about multiple intelligences can be seen here.
Hemisphericity- I am more of a analytic type of person.
I tend to work alone.
I prefer specific grading criteria.
Likes Competition.
I like to get things done step by step.
Likes to organize assignments.
I think i might be caught saying " will this be on the test" because i honestly hate wasting my time learning things that wont matter in the future.
this video further goes into more detail about global and analytical learners.
True Colors- My color is orange.

-Optimistic
-Drawn to tools
-Generous
-Competitive
- Thrive on crisis
-Difficulty Finding acceptance.
- Excitement to society
- Casual Atmosphere is enjoyed
If I have a bad day i rely on the gym to get my physical anger out. I don't like being upset and I often overthink situations. I then start listening to R&B music and instead of helping it just tends to make me sadder.
More information can be found about ways to fix a bad day or just a sad day here.
I think that as Teacher I might have some trouble teaching kids that don't speak English very well.
I can relate to those students because i was moved to a different teacher during 2nd grade because the teacher I had at first couldn't completely help me. I already know I want to major in Spanish so that I can help students that want to learn but have a language barrier like I did. In this link it talks about how Latino students struggle in school this day
I also believe that I may get challenges from students who just do not want to learn or even try in class. I've already seen plenty of students like this in the four years that I have been in high school. It seems like a pain to my teachers like this kid in my history class last year that just never turned in his work. My teacher constantly offered him help and that he could meet him half way if he just put in a little bit of effort but the student just did not care. This article is about when kids don't care about learning or there future
I think that the fact that america's children are the future of the nation kept them going. Even with little or no pay they knew that the only way that the United States was only going to get fixed by teaching the next generations how to fix the mistakes that the previous generation had made.
They also knew how important it was for the children to get an education because without it they would not be able to have a future.
If I was a teacher right now and a great depression situation happened and we stopped getting paid i would take into consideration my family. If we could keep on our feet without me getting paid then i would probably keep teaching and coaching. If it would be impossible to keep my family fed and paying the bills I would have to find another job. Maybe a police officer or something. My family would play a major part in my decision to keep teaching with little or no pay.
Recently we viewed the video, The Water is Wide, in my Principles of Education and Training class.
You will find my responses to the blog prompt below.
6.
1. The students couldn't really read or write and were taught discipline over anything else.
2.The other teacher wanted the students to be taught discipline and not what the kids actually had to learn. She also was scared that she would loose her job as the teacher because she was a african american woman in the white south.
3.Most of the parents did not want the kids to goto Washington. They didn't trust Conroy.
7. Mr. Conroy is a leader by fighting for the permission to get the kids to go to the field trip.
He is honest and hardworking by telling the other teacher that she isn't doing her job right and he took action by teaching the kids in the correct way. He is also goal oriented by knowing what the kids need to learn .
A teacher is able to get along with others and respects individuals no matter what there points of view are. A teacher also knows his or her weaknesses just like any other captain or leader does. They both must be hard working people to show that they have what it takes to fill the roles of both teacher and leaders. They must be responsible for there actions and step up when they make a mistake.
The Teacher shows leadership by going out of his or her way by staying after school and helping kids who have fallen a bit behind. They can give advice if a student is going through some hard times and another excellent example of a teacher showing leadership is that one of my teachers said that he used to have a student that wore the same 3 shirts everyday to school and he felt bad so he went to go buy him some more so he could have more clothes to take to school,
My Leadership in Action
I play soccer outside of school and i used to always want to be captain of the team. The coach told us that we are all the captains and that we should all give each other advice when when we have made a mistake. I used to get mad if someone got greedy with the ball and took a shot instead of passing but now i'm just glad we had a shot at goal and tell my teammate good try and encourage him to take more shots. I have been able to be more patient and have controlled my anger when things aren't going my way. I learned to be a little more poised.
Messi has been a fantastic leader and teacher to his teammates whenever he is playing for his country. He stands up for his teammates when they are given a card for something that didn't deserve that punishment from a referee.
Iker Casillas is a perfect example of a leader. He has won everything when it comes to soccer. The World Cup, the Euros and has also lost alot but everytime he has lost with his team he is always positive that they will go out and win it the next time. When he retired from international soccer everyone could tell that he was going to miss his playing for his teamates and for his country, because he could barely talk simply because he was fighting back tears.
